Peugeot 304 S Coupe. A restored wonder on wheels in AMK 3-2025

The new Auto Motor Klassiek The issue is on your doorstep or on newsstands. And as always, it's packed with remarkable stories. One of them is about Jan Swieringa's Peugeot 304 S Coupe. The car was first registered in the Netherlands in January 1973 and is now enjoying a second life. The elegant coupé from the French manufacturer underwent an extensive and thorough restoration. Moreover, the owner gave his Vert Metalisé-painted Peugeot a personal touch. The result is a beautiful coupé that became a Wonder on Wheels for the second time.

The Ens-born owner was practically born with the Peugeot bug. He grew up near the local Peugeot dealership—the Blom company in Ens. His father worked there, and his uncle owned the business. To this day, his love for the lion brand remains, a fact reflected in his purchase of the 304 S Coupe years ago.

History and prehistory 304 Coupé

We describe the history of the model, which also had an open-top sibling: the 304 Cabriolet. We also describe its origins, which originated with the launch of the 204 Coupé and Cabriolet. This vividly illustrates the history of the reportage model. The photo model in this AMK issue is the 'S' version, which differed significantly from the standard 304 Coupé.
