The Netherlands is a true classic car country. More and more classics and vintage cars on two or four wheels are finding their way to a growing group of enthusiasts. Marty, only 20 years old, belongs to this younger generation of enthusiasts. No fast German or chic Brit for him, even Italian charm does little for him. What really excites him are the exuberant American cars – robust powerhouses that stand out on the road. His Plymouth Satellite Sebring from 1973 makes an impression. “Literally an enormous car,” says Marty proudly.
An American with character
Part of Plymouth’s Satellite line that ran from 1965 to 1974, the Plymouth Satellite Sebring represents the rise of American “mid-size” cars in the early 70s. The 1973 model is one of the last in the line and is often praised for its powerful looks and impressive V8 engine options. Marty’s version features a V8 Small Block, giving it the character of an homage to Plymouth’s performance-oriented Road Runner. With its smooth lines and imposing size, this Satellite Sebring is a car you can’t ignore.
Sympathy for Americans
Every story is special, every classic is unique, and every owner is special. For Marty, his love of American cars has an emotional basis. His grandfather owned a Buick, another iconic American car, which he proudly drove for many years. After his grandfather passed away, the 1991 Buick was given to Marty, creating a new connection to the heritage of American cars. Alongside the Plymouth, this Buick will soon have a second life, bringing Marty double the joy of the world of classic Americans.
Full-size fun
Marty: “This version really impresses me. With its sporty details, flowing lines and characterful color, it draws attention. I often get compliments about the condition of the car, and that only makes it more fun. The fun I get from it comes mainly from meeting other enthusiasts. It has become clear to me that the Satellite Sebring is a perfect way to build friendships and enjoy social contacts. For me, it is about freedom, power and adventure.”
The quest
In Marty's family, American cars have been a permanent part of their car life for years. His father had only one piece of advice: "Buy a nice American car!" Thanks to the internet, Marty found the perfect Satellite Sebring in Berlin. He traveled to Germany and was immediately sold. The enthusiasm with which he bought this Plymouth has everything to do with the family tradition and his father's long-standing relationship with American classics.
The world on wheels
The Plymouth Satellite Sebring shines in its classic paint and is technically in top condition. The beautiful lines and charming appearance are a tribute to the craftsmanship of the designers from Detroit. For Marty, this classic is a coveted possession that has earned a prominent place in the family. His enthusiasm radiates from it, and that makes the bond with this car so special. The Plymouth Satellite Sebring is much more than just a car for Marty – it is freedom on wheels and an adventure on the road.

Super nice Marty, keep it up! Great that young people embrace this. Be careful with buying in the Berlin area!
Blue vintage license plates would suit this color better. Nice car Marty, enjoy it.
