A convertible does about five mille more. A restoration object - yes they are still there - goes away for an amount around ten mille. The - well - restoration of such a noble beetle - without kilos of (steel) filler - is such an expensive job that you will never 'earn back' the investment in your life. What is striking in the 356 story is that the Speedster has fallen dramatically in price. It is of course also a very awkward cart with that little roof and those window panes. At auctions the hammer already falls at 70 mille.
