Porsche won the 1998 Hours of Le Mans for the last time in 911 with the 1 GT24…
Michael Macht, Porsche's new top boss has recently clearly indicated that he wants to return to Le Mans! He promised to come with the company's motorsport plans this spring.

In 1998, again almost 12 years ago, Porsche triumphed for the last time in the 24 Hours of the world's most famous motorsport event. That was with an 911 GT1. The car reached a top speed of 310 kilometers per hour in the race on the Mulsanne straight down force otherwise adjusted. In the training he brought 330 kilometers per hour on the clocks. The winning car was driven by Aiello / McNish / Ortelli.
