Renault 4 F6. Success model in work livery in AMK 4-2026
The new Auto Motor Klassiek The issue is on the shelves, and that means that a wide variety of new topics is once again within reach for the true enthusiast. A beautiful image of Henk and Gea Mulder's Renault 4 F6 graces the cover, and not without reason. In the new issue of the magazine, an eight-page report is dedicated to the photo model and the complete history of the Renault 4 Fourgonnette.
Extensive history
There is much to tell about this Renault model, which accounted for a quarter of the R4's production. We will delve into its development history, the versions, and the various changes Renault made to the van over a period of more than thirty years. Naturally, the Fourgonnette benefited from the developments implemented on the regular Renault 4.
The Fourgonnette, a story of its own
However, the van version also tells its own story. For example, a pickup version appeared in the late 1970s, built by Teilhol. This coachbuilder was also responsible for building the Rodeo models, among others, which used the platform of the Fourgonnette (and later 4 F4). And of course, we will not fail to mention the arrival of the Renault 4 F6 in 1975.

In fact, this larger Fourgonnette type is the reason for the report. We got in touch with owner Henk Mulder via Facebook; his history was remarkable. The Veendam resident had fond memories of the Renault 4 and, after a search, came across the classic delivery van. Occasionally, he and his wife Gea use the car to go to art markets or simply for a pleasure drive. You can read about their experiences, the purchase history, and the follow-up in the new AMK issue. Also, pay attention to the photo locations, where the 4 F6 posed with panache.
Varied car topics
You can read much more in AMK 4-2026. How about a story about the Opel Omega B 2.0 16 GL in station wagon trim? Or the fine report on a pre-war Volvo? The Golf Cabriolet is also described, and anyone in the market for a Range Rover from the 2002-2012 model years (LR 322) will be well-prepared with the story by Aart van der Haagen, who has also provided the report with buying tips.
Classic two-wheelers and much more
This month's classic two-wheelers are a Danish Nimbus and a genuine Harley-Davidson WLA VS M72. We look back at the Bremen Classic Motorshow, present numerous short reports, and of course, the regular columns have found their place again. You can read all this and much more in the brand-new issue, which is now available at newsstands and other regular sales outlets. Happy reading! I'm sure you will!

Judging by the license plate, he's not from Born, is he??!!
Here is another photo of the company car; named René…
I also opted for an R4F6 in the same color, with a bench seat inside—so not on a commercial vehicle registration—for my wine shop and liquor store, almost 6 years ago now. I had the plans for the shop in my head but came across the car earlier. A nice, smoothly sprung car with a high cuteness factor and recognizability! From late 1984 and fortunately with the 1108 engine, which means it still keeps up a bit in the city and on provincial roads…
