Purchasing classics there

The environmental zone in Rotterdam has been in existence for more than a year. And the Rotterdam Classics Foundation continues to defend this zone, with various categories of vehicles being denied access. People keep talking to the local people responsible and ensure a well-founded lobby. In addition, the Rotterdam Foundation reinforces the objections with the mobile heritage. That is why she is organizing a protest meeting in the Maasstad for the second time.

With the meeting and a subsequent tour, the Rotterdam Classics Foundation wants to send a signal to Rotterdam's municipal politics. The organization also sends a clear message to the other municipalities that use an environmental zone. “There are sufficient alternatives and solutions for obtaining clean air. In addition, the symbolic policy that is currently being applied is expensive and poses a threat to the heritage in our country, according to the Foundation. In Rotterdam, those involved are counting on the meeting to at least match the successful debut version of March 2016. 900 classics rode along last year.

Circle Ring and unique photos

In the run-up to the ride, the Rotterdam Classics Foundation has again designated the Marconistraat in Rotterdam as a meeting point. From there, the "Rondje Ring" will start at 12 o'clock, a route that will be driven outside the environmental zone. During the ride, the participants are given a unique opportunity to have the flash possession on the photo. That happens at the Van Brienenoord Bridge, where photographer Peter Winterswijk exceptionally gains access to the bridge keeper's house. To ensure that the classic is captured as well as possible, the Foundation prescribes an advice speed of 80 kilometers per hour. "In addition, a distance of 50 meters from the predecessor is desirable."

Pamphlets with personal message

Furthermore, the Rotterdam Classics Foundation has offered participants the opportunity to make a choice from numerous pamphlets. They can be used to give the protest a personal touch. The pamphlets are available for download on the Foundation's website.

Maasboulevard Schiedam end point

The ride - in which participants have the opportunity to do several rounds of Ring - ends on the Maasboulevard in Schiedam. “The municipal administration receives us there with open arms. She supports our initiative and makes various materials available free of charge. We are pleasantly surprised by this. ”Participants who cannot make the Rondje Ring can also drive directly to Maasboulevard in Schiedam.
