The Stichting Autobelangen has announced that the second six-week period for the court decision in the last trial process has expired. The Groninger court has now taken six weeks twice to pass judgment. That second term has also expired. As is known, Autobangen has conducted five legal proceedings with a view to the realization of a better motor vehicle tax scheme for old-timers. The last of the lawsuits filed took place on September 17 this year. The case that was then handled was that of Bart Kouwenhoven, owner of a Mercedes Benz 240 D from 1982.

In this process - in which every owner of a diesel with a year of construction before 1987 was represented - the verdict has not yet been passed. At the time, Bart Kouwenhoven made an impressive plea within the Groningen court, in consultation with Autobelangen and Stibbe law firm. Kouwenhoven presented valid arguments with regard to the use of a diesel classic. The hobby atmosphere in which the activities can be with a particular vehicle and the significance of the Vorkammer diesel technology for use in passenger cars were also extensively highlighted. The Court has not yet communicated the reason for the decision not expected by Car Interests based on the expiry of the second six-week period. It is plausible that Lady Justice awaits the approval of the Tax Plan by the Senate and wants to save even more time. But it is also not unlikely that the sound argumentation in process five gives the Court some headaches. The Court has, incidentally, indicated that it will give a response.

In conversation with politics
Incidentally, Autobelangen is still making efforts for the following. At the moment there is a structural dialogue with politically involved parties. “Before the Tax Plan is definitively sent to the Senate, changes are still possible. The straw is thin, we know that. But we continue to use every millimeter of space within the store. Certainly as long as the current MRB scheme for old-timers is in effect. "

  1. It would be fair if the government were to abolish the holder's tax and the fuel a little more expensive. Then the polluter pays and the person who opts for alternative transport is rewarded. Simple and fair, it seems to me. height of this mi. Unjust tax.

    • In itself a nice idea, that is already done with our eastern neighbors. Part of the MRB is built into the fuel price there. However: not only the MRB is on average only a quarter or even less than in the Netherlands, the fuel is also around 15 cents cheaper per liter.

    • Dear editors,
Old Jew is an expression and not a swear word. Please replace my comment with tight-fisted and leave the message as it is. I have asked him several times to substantiate my objections without success! The only thing I hear / read is drizzly, profit and the like ... this is also experienced as so low
      Mvg Mohamed

    • Agree, but I did not start swearing but only responded, M negon with the word Malloot.
He also ended with the fact that I benefited from somewhere while I now also have to pay for my vintage cars that would otherwise be tax-free next to my normal car for which I pay 157 a month. Not everyone just thinks about his scholarship. He crumbles on it, hurts as it suits them, etc. But I leave it like that now.

  2. These words refer to you more than me ... useless discussion.

If we stay with the lesson: This is someone who has ever received a letter from the tax authorities that he does not have to pay an MRB for his car. Based on that, he bought an M240 and invested heavily ... He has proven that this car is not used every day. Due to the new regulations, this M240 is no longer worth anything and will only cost more and more. Whether you are a gasoline or diesel driver should not matter here. You don't grant this to anyone. But Gerald enjoys it ...

Why have other options not been investigated such as:
    - Mileage registration or toll (let everyone pay for the kilometers driven) and that for everyone including the new cars. I am not a profiteer and I want to pay for the real miles I make. I already pay enough at the pump. Just like in the surrounding countries. Do you know who is the real beneficiary of this current scheme? You pay whether you drive or not… fill in yourself!
    - Why was it not decided to make a transitional arrangement? You have here
Yet to do with acquired law. And it will be taken from you just like that. Apply the new rules to the new cases and not retroactively! Otherwise compensate for the damage.

    - Speaking of the grabbers, those are directors and officers who run away with millions in bonuses and options even when their mission fails. R. Groenink, for example, has put the entire banking sector upside down with his failed merger and goes through life unscathed ... And there are countless guests who have done this. Why are these not addressed.

And now I would like to call a substantive response from your Gerald instead of nonsense

    Mohamed

    • Mohammed again with his standard grab stories. He ignores the facts as usual. Why were there 1986 times as many old-timers in 10 than in 1987. Why were so many LPG installations removed From old-timers when they had them for the environment (according to their stories now)? Those diesels and LPG cars were mainly for the abuse, rightly so that they do not fall under the transitional arrangement. The grabbers are responsible for the abolition of the scheme. Mohammed the grab now also has to pay and drive around for free and his tax-free Mercedes is rightly over.

      • Gerald continues to believe in his madness no matter what you do to convince him. This confirms his “blinders on” mentality. hold a mirror in front of you

Unfortunately, my justified questions still remain unanswered.

By the way, I don't have a Mercedes. I do sympathize with those who have brought this matter and appreciate their enormous commitment regardless of what it will bring.

Mohamed, with an M. blinker in this case

          • My World looks fantastic. Not a single word of sleep that is why I follow this fascinating topic. You try to ruin the pleasure of the readers on this site, but you will not succeed. You are the only one who has such bad thoughts and walks around.
            What a narrow-minded mentality ...

          • Once Gerald remains an * old Jew * his motto sifted the scent of the people. If he only benefits and continues to profit, the rest can suffocate.

      • I don't take people who bring up 'the facts' that seriously. Facts do not exist, only perceived reality.

Mohammed's grab story has been dragged along a bit, but he is right. Small grabbers get caught, big grabbers rarely, or they have to make it very furry like that Maserati man.

Which brings us back to beautiful cars.

  3. Mohammed, are you sometimes such a measly profiteer to whom the real hobbyist owes it that the State Secretary rightly intervened. All those fine arguments that are invented such as engine technology and the environment with LPG. Everything is brought in by those miserable abusers, while we owe their abuse that the scheme has been rightly addressed. Bunch of snatchers!

  4. And now a substantive response. Mr. Bart Kouwenhoven, the owner of the original Mercedes 240D is also the owner of other 2 other Mercedes S-classes W126 and W140 for daily use. Bart is what you call a Mercedes fan.
Bart already pays about € 126 per year in road tax for the W140 and W3.000. For the green car that is used purely for the hobby, it must, according to the new rules of Weekers, pay an additional € 1.400.
I respect this civilized car interests action to take the state to court. Well, and our friend Gerald! who keeps swallowing everything and hurting others ...

  5. What a nasty reaction from this Gerald! Terrible that you dare to defend that man! In your response and other responses, you will soon call for profiteers. You don't even know what that means M * lot. Here you show no respect whatsoever for Mr Kouwenhoven and car interests who initiated the court case. That's why you get no respect from me. piss off!
