We found the book in such a temporary book dump store and were enchanted. "The worst cars ever sold" by Giles Chapman. It is one of a series. And it is a book written with the mild (self) ridicule that only British people have been given.
The renowned British automotive writer describes cars of all kinds - including English - brands with a smile and perspective. He comments on the experiences and the market situation from the days when these cars were still new, and not surrounded by nostalgic love, but also because cars are mentioned that are largely unknown to us.
The Peykan, for example, was the Iranian version of the Hunter / Scepter
Experience has shown that some brand / type enthusiasts experience the mildly critical tone of the writer as shocking. At least when the writer reports about their dream cars.
