The very first Batmobile fetched $ 137.000 at an American auction. The car was made in 1963 by a fan, by the then 23-year-old Forrest Robinson, who was inspired by the comic book version of Batman. Publisher DC Comics hired the car for promotional purposes.
The first professional Batmobile was produced in 1965 made for the first TV series (in black / white). That copy was auctioned in 2013 for $ 4.200.000.
