The weather will be fantastic. And then a 'last minute weekend trip' is a very good plan. To book the nights there are now a lot of hotel comparison sites that all promise the best - read 'cheapest'.
That's handy.
But what we do
When we have found the hotel of our choice, we look up the site of that hotel ourselves and report that we do NOT want to book directly through one of the booking sites, but that we pay cash ...
The hoteliers have to pay percentages to the booking site, and they often want to share that difference with you.
Often you will be cheaper / get a better room than can be arranged through a booking site.
And that is nice, right?
