Purchasing classics there

That is one thing. Your Brit who kicked you to life on the kickstarter at the age of twenty is perhaps better than ever. Starting engines for classics

Kickstarts and knee complaints

But now the start is a bit less. Does not come from the British. Comes through your knee. At the moment quite a few British classics are released. For example, an 84-year-old father and his 61-year-old son exchanged their BSA and Norton for two - by the way, semi-classic - BMWs. The reason? Father and son wanted to keep driving. But for father, kicking had become a serious problem. Rightly so. My own BSA 500 cc single-pitter has also been moved to someone with a better starting knee.

Of course, that phenomenon has not gone unnoticed. In the meantime, there are really well thought-out, well-functioning sets to bring British classics to life with the touch of a button. And to what extent is this an 'Impairment of Originality'? So what. The engine can be driven again.

Two hours of work

A Norton Command can be made electrically starting in an hour or two by mounting a specially molded inner part of the primary chain guard. The set is completely complete - but without the new battery - and assembly ready with clear instructions. Another plus: The accompanying alternating current alternator delivers 90 Watt instead of the standard 95-150 Watt. Alton also supplies an E-starter set for the legendary difficult-to-start Velocette's.

Alton does not yet have a Dutch importer, but orders can also be placed via the site. The site also contains the addresses of the suppliers that Alton does have. Alton is also a French company, located in the Brest area. Paul and Hervé Hamon fell under the spell of British motorcycles and were amazed by the electrical performance of those wonderful machines. Their first step towards a better world was to design a better dynamo for British Bikes. Alton is today 5 human M / V tall. And things are going well. Visitors are welcome at Le Relecq Kerhuon, near Brest

Other providers are McFarlane Classic Bike Starters and QPD.
