Citroën Ami 6 Break Club (1968)

Citroën Ami 6 Break Club by Anne-Jan. Sympathetic and quirky

Like the 2 CV, the Citroën Ami meant for 'Jacques Bonhomme', the French civilian who was looking for an economical and also a spacious car. The Citroën Ami 6 Break Club in these pictures was built in 1968 and owned by a watchmaker from La Plaine in the department of Maine et Loire from 1971 to 2016. For the 'integration' in the Netherlands, work had to be done on the brakes, among other things, and welding was required to obtain the stamp of approval (APK).
Citroën Dyane with Ami super chassis and GSA X3 engine

Citroën Dyane (1974). A remarkable project.

I love the romance of going out and literally searching for classics from the automotive past. (Yes, and all without a mouse and keyboard.) So you can suddenly come face to face with a fiery red Citroën Dyane from 1974 from owner Jaap who had secured it 40 years ago. Only now does he dare to tell the story of his childhood sin. At the age of 18, Jaap was a budding car designer by creating a masterpiece with his Dyane.
Citroën Ami 6 Grand Luxe

Citroën Ami 6 Grand Luxe (1967). C'est magnifique.

When you walk into this showroom in Damwoude you will see a mix of exclusive and more common classics that take you back in time. Fortunately, it is not rare that we write praising all those beautiful classics, but now we let go of our restraint completely and let ourselves be carried away by enthusiasm and admiration for these Citroën Ami 6 Grand Luxe.
