JANYAMAVERDA... in Hengelo (Ov) was a success. There were more than 30 engines at Motoport Hengelo and many visitors came on motorcycles that could have participated that way. The Yamaverda was a very beautiful one there - and all; 15 year driving - example of.

Inside it appeared that most builders had really passed the four crosses, but the second place went nicely to a seventeen year old with a fantastic retro Puch creation.

A motor with a rocker motor and centrifugal clutch? was there too.

JAN_PUCHThe most endearing: the sidecar combination with Trabant block.

And then we are talking about the ideas behind the front hub and brake. For emotional reasons, the builders wanted to use the original Trabant brake drums for this. So two brake drums on the left were mounted. They were turned on the outside and connected with a thick, shrunken aluminum ring. With turning and milling work that ring was provided with large cooling ribs. In order to be able to mount the spokes on the creation, two steel flanges were turned and shrunk around the new construction after they were provided with suitable holes for the spokes….

JANTrabantWhen the machine was started after the show it became clear once again how beautiful it sounded on circuits before all machines were allowed to run around muzzled.

First enjoy the summer, but dive into the shed this winter to put your own engine on the wheels. That may be a technical feat or an endearing doodle animal. In Hengelo you will find people who find it all equally fantastic and with whom you start talking as if you have known them for decades.

See you next year. In Hengelo (Ov)
