A leaking sliding roof
It seems simple: The roof is closed. The water runs off.
But such a sliding roof is and remains just a hole in the roof. It is leaking along the edges. Water can run past if the car is parked or drives with the roof on the time switch.
And that water may not flow in. That is why there is a kind of rain gutter on the overlapping body side of the roof. And rain gutters can overflow with much wetness if the drainpipe is clogged. Then you have a leaking sliding roof. This day started with enormous showers. They still woke me before six. Then I immediately went to my car. He was sleeping outside with the roof open.
An open roof is a great drainage point.
So drainage points. This also applies to car roofs. Somewhere at its lowest point there is a drainage point. A hole, a floor drain. From there, the water with 1 or several tubes is drained through the body to a sill or simply discharged directly under the car.
And if that drain point is clogged by drab? That simply takes the water the next easiest way and enters it through a leaking sliding roof.
The cure? Keep the 'gutter' under your sliding / tilting roof clean. Find out how the drainage is arranged and try to blow it clean or, if necessary, pierce it with a handy nylon pull wire from the hardware store.
That can save you a lot of wetness. And sitting on a soggy chair gives the same sensation as a senior has when sitting on a not-replaced Maxi Pamper.
That must be prevented. Also with seniors
