Oldtimer engine oil
Classic car oil is one of the important things that you should definitely have at hand for the maintenance of your classic car. Classic car oil has been specially developed for the classic car engine and is available from various brands. For example from a brand such as Millers, Kroon Oil or Castrol. Oldtimer oil is indispensable as a lubricant for the engine. Incidentally, there are various types of oil available for classic cars from common brands of motor oil.
Brake fluids
In addition to oil, there are also other liquids that are necessary to maintain your oldtimer in a perfect way. Just think of brake fluid. Of course it is important to regularly check the operation of the brakes of your oldtimer. It is advisable to measure the quality and quantity of the brake fluid present. If the level is too low, air can get into the brake lines. As a result, you run the risk that the brakes do not have enough power to slow down your oldtimer in time. The quality of the brake fluid is also important. Just look at the brake fluid. If it is dark yellow then the quality is deteriorated and the brake fluid is old. Cleaning products for inside and outside
Your classic car must of course be perfect on the inside, but the outside also needs attention. That is why it is important to have various maintenance products for the inside and outside of old-timers at home. Just think of a parts cleaner if you are tinkering with the oldtimer. Cleaning parts further extends the life of your oldtimer. This way, your classic car can also be nicely polished and made to shine again with special products. The inside of the oldtimer can be cleaned with a special interior cleaner.
Extra ZDDP (Zn [S2P (OR) 2] 2) or adding Zinc dialkyldithiophosphate to classic oil is also not wrong, if you know that classic oil may contain max only 1/3 of the zinc than the original oil (thanks to European legislation ).
A bottle of ZDDP costs barely 20 euros. Zinc lubricates the engine oil, just as lead was responsible for gasoline lubrication.
