Purchasing classics there

CitroënTourists and the hospitality industry. That is a good faith bet. Being familiar in your own region has its advantages. You know the way and so you have your addresses. If you are strange somewhere, then that is different for you.

When we left the ICCCR site we heard a couple of foreign TA owners saying that they wanted to score something to eat somewhere. For us it was about dinner time and we decided, disguised in a BX, to follow the column of TAs.

Those people did the same thing we do in strange territory: They followed the first secondary road until they came across a place to eat. Their stop was in Laag Soeren, at restaurant and B&B 'de Harmonie', on route network at 4,2 km from their own backyard.

We knew the location because in good weather the terrace is often heavily populated with cyclists enjoying their deserved rest.

The service was friendly and Marit, the young lady who served us, told us that the ICCCR visitors, normal tourists and people with an AH discount card were nice and busy despite this somewhat humid summer.

The map was nicely arranged. When it comes to menus with an enormous number of options, we always think of the edge-filled, roaring freezer units.

And that is not an idea that makes you crave. If only because of the highest possible compliment to the operator of such institutions: "You have thawed that excellently!".

Our Low Soeren meals demonstrated the strength of the limited menu: The three-course menu in the Harmonie turned out to be beautifully served, delicious in taste and consistency and sufficient.

The house wine tasted excellent and our Bob drank Radler for the first time without any form of alcohol: a kind citroen(Citroën)lemonade…

By chasing a bunch of tourists we broke out of our local routine and so we have an address again.

So Misshien is a nice idea: Take a look further in your own environment than the trusted addresses. That can be surprising. And when we are abroad, we just always ask a 'local' what he thinks is a good place to eat.

That works great too.

And that the next day we received an e-mail from the restaurant site 'Iens' to give our opinion? Oh well ... It's 2016. Everyone wants to know everything about everyone ...
