If you come face to face with a special pimped version of the DDR icon the Trabant 601, then you may think back to the time of the sixties. Yet Trabant was by far the largest brand in the GDR at that time and therefore important, a personal piece of machinery for someone who could afford a car.

Now - so many years later - the Trabant in the classic world a fixed crowd of admirers, whereby it has become a collector's item and 'cult' car.
This owner from Akkerwoude has turned it into a rally car. A 'monstrous' version in striking colors. Despite his race version (no. 73), he probably won't bring as much horsepower on the asphalt. But for the owner it is a nice possession: "Thing of beauty and a joy forever". So for him no atmosphere of austerity with the Trabant 601 but a passionate love object. So auto enthusiasm, and we will continue to encourage that.
