It is so special, so different, so much more fun than a regular buggy, this VW Beetle buggy kitcar built by Berry van Aspert. Berry has worked for 17 years as a workshop manager in a metal processing company, which proves his craftsmanship.

If your eye falls on a very special buggy based on the familiar. Beetle - via the internet - you would like to hear the story behind this special construction. So we asked owner Berry: “I found a Beetle chassis on the demolition paradise, and the special thing about it was that it still had a license plate. Over a period of 3 years I slowly started to build my own buggy.
First the chassis was overhauled, followed by new technology, the brakes, and the revision of the 1600 cc engine. Building the stainless steel body started without any drawing, but I did keep an eye on the dimensions of the - not shortened - VW chassis. I used 1 mm stainless steel plate for the construction and 1,5 mm stainless steel for the mudguards. For the wooden finish I used a thick table top. The steering wheel comes from the VW family (Porsche) and finally the seats were taken from a rally car. ”
Photo report
During the construction process everything was recorded on sensitive plate, after which a complete book could be made after the final result. Very special. Many Beetle-based cars drive around, but none of stainless steel. Berry now became a 'fresh air fan' and could experience the feeling of freedom. It should be a pleasure to drive a quirky kit car. Quiet touring at a speed of 90 km per hour, satisfied with everything and everyone. And as an added bonus from many on the road. Thumbs up in greeting and appreciation for this special 'Van Aspert special'. Berry van Aspert is an artist to us. A body and work of art made of steel. Because of his creativity the only one in the Netherlands, you will not find him anywhere else.

I have a Fiat Siata Spring 1968. The front is striking.
Real craftsmanship! Only I would personally order a pair of old blue number plates; the basis is from 1972. Makes it really classic (I think)
What a neat garage with carpet on the floor. How strange to read this, very nice.
Great, looks great
Nice thing.
Toppie !!!!
Does have a high Heer Olivier B. Bommel content.
And that, as far as I'm concerned, is worth a big compliment.
