It is good news for the loyal visitors of the Veterama events. After four canceled versions (twice Mannheim, twice Hockenheim), the cult event is again green-lighted. The spectacular classics market is back and will be held from April 29 to May 1. Of course, in this case it concerns the Frühling edition, and traditionally this one op Hockenheim place.
The Veterama events have been on the calendar since 1975, and have therefore become a very fixed and in the good sense of the word very old value. And after four editions canceled due to COVID-19, you can visit the big jumble in southern Germany again. The organizers are happy to be able to organize the largest spring fair in Europe again.
Huge range
In the vicinity of the pit lanes, the glass pavilion and the entire paddock, not only professional and private traders, collectors and other enthusiasts from all over Europe meet. There is also a selection of all well-known old-timer clubs, which are happy to present themselves to their members. The outdoor space around the ring will become a place where parts, car and motomobilia, miniatures, accessories, literature, service providers for everything related to restoration, tools and all kinds of historical technology can be found. For example, if you are looking to expand your tooling or parts inventory at your local workshop, you can also find it at the Veterama event.
“Complettfahrzeuge”
A lot of space has also been reserved for old-timers and young-timers (very nicely called Komplettfahrzeuge by the organization). In addition, lovers of classic mopeds, bicycles with auxiliary engines and beautiful old motorcycles will get their money's worth. And all this within a large setting that is characterized by a large amount and colorful blend of vintage and patina. And that unpolished and especially unformatted atmosphere has characterized this huge happening for years. Fortunately, it returns.
Reunion and new encounters within a familiar setting
The organization is pleased to note that the returned Veterama is dominated by reunion and new encounters. It has now become clear that the enthusiasm is high. Many thousands of visitors can make use of the twenty thousand parking spaces in the (near) surroundings of the illustrious Hockenheimring. In addition, the organization has made space available for the actual Show Arena. This is kept free for owners who come to Hockenheim with an oldtimer or youngtimer (built up to 1985). Parking is free of charge, but registration is required.
