One group of connoisseurs swears by Dinitrol, the other by Waxoyl when it comes to preserving the sheet metal of a classic. The question is, of course, what is better?

Both products are in any case better than nothing. However, specialists who deal with this matter know that Dinitrol can be processed better for the benevolent hobbyist. This is because the 'pump' to be supplied with Waxoyl to inject the material into the cavities is not sufficient. It is therefore important to have a good compressor available (with a lot of 'wind'), to have it at the right temperature - it must be sprayed well and to be fluid - and the right spray tool. The latter is available through specialist dealers. Be aware that the so-called 'tectylation' does not make a hell of a gang, but above all that you first study in the places where you want to inject the stuff.
