Feast for the eye…
Unique opportunities come unexpectedly and are not announced, so it is important to respond quickly. And so did Frits Groen, an asphalt knight who travels the Netherlands daily with his truck. His phone call with camera ready to capture what goes past as an old-timer enthusiast. He came across this magical '65er VW bus at the A4 near Leiderdorp. Frits' heart beats' air-cooled 'so here the Volkswagen played a major role for him, for safety the photo was made by his co-driver. With him, this image is in part a memory of his father and grandfather who rented out the VW vans in days gone by. A compliment to the (unknown) owner of this VW for the beautiful condition in which it was returned. Dirk de Jong
As is often the case with beautiful cars, the clever retauration work is also canceled out here by putting disgustingly wrong wheels underneath. mortal sin
Cursing is also not allowed!
hello I think transport with a passenger car with this trailer with this VW bus on it is not allowed due to the total weight. Or have the rules changed?
A quick check (rdw site): trailer weighs 310kg and the bus 1210kg (empty), together 1520kg +
Such a BMW 3 series can usually pull something from 1650 kg, so if there is not too much other weight, this is allowed.
I don't like VW at all and in fact such a bus is an idiot, but it looks funny. Just those wheels… sigh
The trailer also weighs more than 750 kg and needs its own registration number. This combination is too heavy and therefore not allowed !!! Had a mazzel.
