Verkeerd afgelopen. And there have been a few things in Arnhem over the years ...
On the way to the Arnhems Oorlogsmuseum 1940-1945 we saw this VW Beetle on the very edge of Arnhem, next to an (abandoned?) House on the Kempenbergse weg.
It is clear that this is not a Beetle with a war past. But it is one of the many classics that you can see here in the quieter edges of the Netherlands just gloom in the wild. Near Usquert we even saw an E-type bodyshell among all kinds of shrubs and a few more farms stood a whole nest of BXsen.
So take as many rural roads as possible with every possible ride and keep your eyes open.
That is the most convenient in traffic anyway.
