Head gasket problems with the Golf are a thing of the past with new studs?
As a craftsman at the Volkswagen Golf, you know better than anyone that the studs with which the cylinder head must be fixed are 'on' at a given moment. They stretch because of which one head gasket after another blows out and eventually crack ...

The British company ARP has recently released a new Pro Series studs kit for the Golf 1,6 and 1,9 liters - yes, also the Turbo! - Built from 1982 to 2002. These studs are of such a quality that you can give them 45 percent more tightening torque. The kit comes complete with rings and hexagon nuts, but also a bottle of 'oil' to reduce friction during assembly. A complete set costs £ 190,00 excluding packaging and shipping.
