A while ago we reported about AMK reader Teus, who owns a few Stalwart amphibia trucks. Teus is still open for suggestions. But apparently he can also get rid of the Stalwarts in Bangladesh or something. Roy Bolks is an Amphicar specialist. He does a lot of business with French people on the Mediterranean coast.
But a picture postcard from France proved that water and wheels had long been thought of. The Nautilus ZX 55, however, was not an amphibian, but a submarine / car / dingest.
With 38 hp, the device reached a top speed of around sixty kilometers by land. Under water, the thing 'drove' up to half as fast.
It has remained with a one-off experiment. But we saw the thing. In France. Where it is still full of private 'car' museums without a site.
To be continued.
