A traveler friend emailed from Prague that he had bumped into someone who had a Suzuki Wankel for sale. A very beautiful one. The asking price is 150000 Czech Crowns, at the daily rate it is 5391,61 euros.
What goes on there for a kind of 'Marketplace' is apparently locally called 'Slando'. And the motorcycles department is full of wrecking Jawas and blast furnace ripe parts for that. Plus a tired Dnepr and a pimped M72
We spent an evening on the Internet hunting for classics in Slovakia, Turkey, Poland and so on. The loot was very disappointing. Apparently the former WWII survivors are all gone. And we would not even keep the things that are still here.
Moreover, it continues to gamble enormously on what is next to the pictures. Our Greek / Polish / Czech etc. is simply not that good
By the way, we know that quite a few motorcycles have landed in the former Eastern Bloc region that have been abducted here in NL and D.
So make sure that the papers are included if you want to combine the purchase with a weekend in Prague. A beautiful city where it is full of pickpockets
