As mentioned earlier, AMK 9 contains the story of a beautiful, unrestored Karmann Ghia. The photo we received from Jan Lammers from Zoetermeer proves that not all Karmann Ghias have lived their lives so unscathed.
The photo, on the other hand, is proof that not all car wrecks in France have been cleaned up and the Chinese hunger for steel have disappeared.
Program your GPS on the thinnest roads during your next visit to France. Or just take a random turn where you see plagued asphalt.
Who knows what you discover!
We look forward to hearing from you.
The karmann in the photo did not pass through the time so unscathed, but fortunately did not get lost.
This karmann was located on a famous scrapyard in Switzerland that had to be cleared a few years ago. This car was bought by a Belgian karnann ghia enthusiast and is waiting for a restoration. It will certainly be restored, as this is a rare “montage suisse” ”version.
