It is a typical marketing case, but it works out well: In 1965, Kawasaki introduced the W1. With 650cc and 50pk this was the first heavy 4-stroke Kawasaki and not a major sales success. He looked so much like a BSA that people overlooked how much better he was. In 1998, Kawasaki introduced the retro model W1 as a tribute to the original W650. fitted with a "king's shaft" with its engine block. The 650 was upgraded to W2011 in 800.
In 2014, Kawasaki continues the W-series success with a special W800 Anniversary model.
Typical of this model are the specially sprayed tank, a special original Z1 Kawasaki logo, chrome Remus sport exhausts, painted side panels with emblem, painted headlight housing and special saddle cover. The Anniversary package has a normal consumer price of € 2.750 and is offered in 2014 for the anniversary price of € 1.750.
