During an autumn trip in Pas de Calais we found a series of glazed tiles with images above a set of garage boxes next to a kind of restaurant.
The tiles on that boring block of garage boxes were estimated to be the same age as the boxes themselves. Pretty old.
On the tiles were images of old racing cars and fleeing livestock and pets.
Each action image was alternated by a tile with a car image as we could have seen in the rearview mirror.
We could not figure out the history behind this piece of nostalgia.
But we were tender.
Because as long as you look around you, there is so much to see.
