The convertible version of the Fiat Topolino with bodywork from the German company Weinsberg is seen by enthusiasts as the most special in Topolino. Rightly so, because such a cart is quite rare today. Even more rare is the Topolino with bodywork from Smith. A handful of them were once made and sold as Fiat Topolino Smith Special. The one shown here appears to be the only one that has stood the test of time. However, according to the accompanying book, it has been completely restored. The small thing dates from 1938. In those pre-war years, those cars were built by Sydney Smith Garages in Purley Way, County of Surrey. As an accessory, an aluminum oil pan with a larger capacity could also be purchased and it is (still) underneath. Really a sweet!
