Previously he already drove two Alfasuds and now he can do one too Alfa 147 youngtimer use as a daily car.

Strong bond with Alfa Romeo

Marten says: “The design evokes emotions in me, there is something sensual in this one Alfa Romeo 1750 GTV. My work history at the dealer gave me a strong bond with Alfa and I gradually became a fan at heart. I am devoted to my agile Alfa, which responds directly to my right foot. It is simply safe, comfortable and, above all, sporty driving. The 1779 cc power source delivers a maximum power of 118 hp.”

Protected heritage?

The purchase of the Alfa Romeo 1750 GTV took place in 1984. Marten is the sixth owner, of which two previous owners worked at a Alfadealer. According to history, the first owner was a dentist from De Bildt and the car was delivered by garage Centrum in Zeist. Restoring a classic car is not an easy task and frankly it also involves financial worries, but the reward is mouth watering! The total restoration, including the search for parts and sheet metal, took no less than 23 years, with of course large intervals. Only in 2007 was the Alfa Romeo 1750 GTV roadworthy and MOT-worthy again. This proves that protecting heritage secures the future, however long it takes. 1. Beautiful, it remains a beautiful car. As for the new ones, different strokes for different folks, but
luckily it has a sticker on it Alfa indicates. Tragically that the Alfa Has fallen into the bottomless pit of boring Stellantis SUVs. Oh well, shit happens.

  2. Once I was folded in half, (on the back seat, together with an Italian holiday lover from Amsterdam to Catanzaro, Calabria(!) in exactly the same Alfa 1750 driven, on the Autobahn, 4 people! ! + all luggage, up to speeds of up to 180 km/h. Hardly with stops along the way, but after arriving and getting out, stiff from the ride, fully declaring love for this unparalleled automobile. Then himself, impregnated by Italian car love for decades, and residing in Italy every year for a long time, 3 more ALFAOwned and cherished with love….Ahh…, Bertone, that was it….
