De Alfa Romeo Alfetta was the first of the new large generation Alfa's, with an ingenious piece of Italian technique. This Alfetta is still a pleasure to look at and to drive after 47 years. After ten years of commuting on a motorcycle, a car was needed, but which one?

There was a car for sale along the road, initially unknown in terms of make and type, but after a test drive, the owner immediately changed. However, the joy of possession did not last long. The reason? The rust had struck, as silent as a silent killer. Bottom, box girders were already affected, and so rust heralded the end of the beauty after two years.
Strength from disappointment
Fortunately, after this disappointment, he found a clock gift Alfa Romeo Alfatta in Milan. It is fair to say that in 2016 there is a new coat of paint - in the original Alfa color – came on the Alfetta. The car was given a facelift, which revealed that the 1,8 L power unit was showing signs of fatigue, which was a cause for concern. Good advice was expensive, on advice became a six-cylinder Alfa engine from the Alfa 90 mounted, the enthusiast's car was now no longer original, but showed signs of a poison frog due to its speed and fierce acceleration. The experience of driving in this Alfa Romeo Alfetta - the year of manufacture 1974, but the license plate 1975 - has now lasted more than 22 years! Once an Alfist, always an Alfist.
What value does PP assign to the Alfetta?
PP: “It is clear, the experience, the sporty driving behavior, the breathtaking sound of Busso's V6, and the beautiful interior. There are new long trips on the program to Italy, to the sunny south. And not just as a hobby, the Alfa Romeo Alfetta is used daily in the summer! I need the speed, it's just a wonderful car, Una belezza Italiana.”
Seductive?
Alfa Romeos are simply seductive cars, for a small group of enthusiasts it even gives a chunk of emotion. (Or maybe a hint of obsession?) An Italian made after looking at the fancy Alfa Romeo Alfetta-with V6 note: “It's a little Ferrari”. Can you imagine it feeling the same way for PP? As oldtimer/classic enthusiasts, we all know that that feeling is priceless.

Beautiful sporty car, you don't see them like that anymore. If you want to keep the car in mint condition I would have it treated with Mike Sander. In 50 years, the Alfa then most likely still intact.
Nice car, but would like to get an oldtimer license plate on it, nowadays with the letters YE in the middle. Makes the car even more beautiful
Belisimo!
Of course with a 'seventies' radio-cassette player on board 😉
Six cylinder original or not. Still a beautiful car! That six-cylinder will certainly not harm its performance. Good move!
