An Authi?
Yes Sir, an Authi. Authi - where the letters stand for Automobives de Turismo Hispano Ingleses - was founded in November 1965 and established in Pamplona, Spain. A deal that was concluded between the former British BMC and the Spanish NMQ, Nueva Montaña Quihano. BMC, the British Motor Corporation - just like manufacturers such as Fiat, Ford, Renault, etc., had to find a way to sell their products in Spain.
Seat
Various Austin, Morris, even MG 1100 ADO16 models saw the light of day there as Authi. Authi flourished, but the flow of money went to Great Britain to fill the cash of the umbrella group, now British Leyland. In 1976 it went completely wrong and after a too low bid from General Motors the almost brand new factory was sold to Seat.
