Classic Electric: a tribute to the legendary Volvo 240 series

Providing the car with electric traction gives the Volvo 240 a new future.
The Volvo 240 GL Classic Electric is based on a rare Swedish Volvo 240 GL Classic, a well-preserved specimen from the unique series of the very latest 240 production specimens, with certificate number 86. The car ran 1993 in May, the last production month of the Volvo 240 series in its 19 anniversary.
The Volvo 240 GL Classic Electric was developed and built by Martijn Hendriks - Voltive Electro Automotive - in the period 2009 - 2012 with the most important principles:

- High Quality - advanced technology, high-quality build quality, attractive finish
- Safety - maximum safety in the electrical traction systems, based in part on European regulations in this area
- Restoration - restoring the entire vehicle as new as possible
- Range and performance - a good performance level and a range of at least 150 km
- Ease of use - suitable for daily use
- Standards - meet standards for electric vehicles such as Modus 3 charging
- Series - the design must be suitable for a possible small-scale series production
The Volvo 240 GL Classic Electric is RDW approved and approved as an electric vehicle.
