And because simplicity is genius, they thought that the three snap fasteners, with which many jet helmets could already be fitted with a sun visor, could also be used to attach a plexiglass face shield to it. That was not a sight, but a fixed screen. And that is why it sometimes caused very exciting problems. After a splash of dredging water thrown up by a car, for example, you could no longer see anything. And sweeping resulted in stripes.

There were versions that made that possible. And shortly thereafter, the first blown-off visors were found in the various verges.
