Purchasing classics there

It had been announced for some time. With his NosStalgia Classics, Egbert Spinder moved to the Tussendiepen in Drachten and to the building where Aircooled specialist Wagenfolks has been located for some time. To celebrate this collaboration, those involved organized an open day. The Drachtster entrepreneurs also organized an old-timer meeting in which the main focus was on air-cooled Volkswagens. And Daniël van Aken had flown in to value a number of classics present. We took a look at Drachten on Easter Monday.

It immediately became clear upon entering the renovated showroom. From now on, it is no longer just air-cooled and first-generation water-cooled VAG-made products at the Tussendiepen 49 in Drachten. Now that NosStalgia Classics has moved in, visitors can also find special classics from other manufacturers at this address. Those who have been looking for one for some time Alfa Romeo Alfetta GT, a Reliant Scitimar or a slick Ford Capri has come to the right place at NosStalgia. And what remains is a substantial supply of air-cooled Volkswagens in particular. Maintenance, sale and restoration of Beetle and Co will continue to be provided by Wagenfolks, although Egbert Spinder of NosStalgia will also provide space for the colorful Wagenfolks range.

Special reason for collaboration

The collaboration between both parties was achieved in a special way. When Spinder started with NosStalgia Classics, he was given the opportunity to include a few Beetles in the range. Wagenfolks was located a stone's throw from NosStalgia. With regard to Beetle Sales, Spinder first consulted with Michel Gaastra, the owner of Wagenfolks. Gaastra did not think it was a good idea that Spinder was offered a number of Beetles. In fact, he suggested working together more. For example, Spinder also sold classics from the range of Wagenfolks. Spinder: "That was nice, and another confirmation that honesty and decency will last the longest."

Knife cuts on two sides

It will not come to a merger. NosStalgia will continue to trade under my own name, but the cooperation with Wagenfolks will only become stronger. The knife - to use an old saying - cuts on two sides. The commercial side and the technical side will be served by both parties with the cooperation. And both Wagenfolks and Nosstalgia Classics float on an important pillar: pure love for classics. Michel Gaastra from Wagenfolks, a genuine adept of air-cooled and early water-cooled VAG products, is also looking forward to working together. “The fact that classics of other types are now also offered at this address makes it interesting to come and take a look. The range is becoming more diverse. And that makes the activities at this place even more fun. "

Flowing corporate identities

We were naturally curious about the changed setting beforehand. Although the place of action was not an unknown address for us, we were pleasantly surprised by the way in which the house styles of NosStalgia and Wagenfolks merge. The typical mancave atmosphere that both parties have traditionally used has only gained in character through the merger at one address. And that without compromising on identity. For every enthusiast with a heart for air-cooled Volkswagens and other classics, it makes a visit to the Tussendiepen 49 worthwhile.

The open day was accompanied by a small and fun meeting, with a focus on air-cooled VWs.
