Handy: Wire glue

Purchasing classics there

Of course we are all wizards when it comes to soldering. But some components, such as the original handlebar switches of certain Italian classic motorcycles, or printed circuit boards are quite heat sensitive.

And if the soldering iron is just too hot, or is held against the connection for too long, the switch will get a serious melt downwm.

That should therefore be better. Fortunately there is Wire Glue. And that under different work names. It is also pretty pricey too.

Soldering without soldering iron, with conductive glue! You only need to apply the glue to the metal components to be joined, connect the components and allow them to dry to ensure a conductive metal connection. The glue is very durable and adheres well.

The stuff apparently has its origin in the repair of reverse defrosters, but has learned from it. Oh yes, how professional it is, the package leaflet shows: looking at it without breathing protection is dangerous.

Handy.

  1. Earlier this year I repaired the worn-out wiring of my rear lights with soldering iron. What a coal work, with those sweeping threads. If this stuff is strong enough, it might be a solution.
