On March 31 and April 1, Venhuizen welcomes enthusiasts of historic vehicles for the NH Oldtimer Festival, an event that extends over the size of three football fields and fills nine halls with the nostalgia of times gone by. Historical vehicles in the spotlight
Visitors can admire an impressive collection of hundreds of historic vehicles. Cars that once graced the streets of Al Capone-era America, including Plymouth, Chrysler and Dodge, are just a few examples of what will be on display. Cars from the 50s, known for their rear wings and mighty 8-cylinder engines such as the Cadillac and Chevrolet, will also be included.
Attention for two-wheelers
In addition to cars, historic motorcycles and mopeds will also be given a stage. Italian Benellis, American Harley-Davidsons and Japanese classics from Kawasaki and Honda, presented by the Classic Japanese Motorcycle Association, will be on display. Lovers of Zündapp and Kreidler mopeds can indulge themselves in this collection.
Trucks from back then
A selection of historic trucks, including Dutch classics such as DAF and Kromhout from 1933, and German models such as Krupp, Mercedes, and Hanomag Henchel from the 40s, will also be on display.
Activities for all ages
The festival also provides entertainment for younger visitors with a miniature track and electric mini-karts. This year the festival introduces a British theme, including Big Ben and a red double-decker bus, surrounded by 60s cars such as Rolls-Royce, MG and Austin Healey.
Entertainment and relaxation
In addition to the vehicles, the festival offers live music from Rock 'n' Roll bands and an Aerial Ring Show. Market enthusiasts have also been catered for, with stalls full of clothing, motorcycle parts, miniatures and other trinkets.
