Oldtimer and Classic Fair Leek. The 25th edition next weekend

This weekend, the Oldtimer and Classic Fair will take place again in Leek for the first time in two years. After a year of corona break, organizer Anton Rosema and his people are preparing everything to welcome visitors again at the cozy and traditionally well-organized fair. Moreover, the organization is celebrating a true anniversary. The event will be held for the 25th time in the Sports Center in Leek. The 2021 edition will take place from October 8 to 10, and the fair will continue. Please note: a corona ticket is mandatory due to government regulations.

The first old-timer fair in Leek was held in 1984, and it was an immediate success, which lasted until 1998. After that, the fair was not organized for a while. In 2011, the organization was restarted in the Leek Sports Center, which now consisted of two halls. And that also meant: more exhibition space. The fair is now held in two large halls with more than 8000 m² of space.

Special French square promises a lot of beautiful things

The recipe is well known and offers room for nice variation every year. This ensures a great taste and a nice variety in exhibition subjects every edition. Several clubs will be present at the 25th edition. Including Historical Automobile Association, MG Noord, Borgward club, Ford Taunus M club, Panhard club, Caravan club and the Veterans Oldtimerclub Roadstar. A complete hall is intended for this. The diversity of brands and models is great. A large stand with French old-timers and classics from seven clubs has the limousines as theme. Old-timers and classics from the beginning of the last century to the end of the eighties are on the fair. And the organization already announces that these are regularly very special copies. Anyone who has been to Leek before knows what that means, because theme squares from earlier years were also filled with very special classics.

Lots of variety in offer

Of course, there are also plenty of old-timers, classics and motorcycles from private collections elsewhere in the Leek Sports Center. Space has also been allocated for the sale of old-timers. Sales stands with parts, documentation, miniatures, tools, automobilia and items that fit the event are of course also included.

Corona admission ticket required

Fortunately, after a year of 'coronapause', the Oldtimer and Classic Fair in Leek is back on the calendar, and all signals for passage are green. Due to the imposed government measures regarding corona, the organization is forced to make a corona proof mandatory for visitors. Of course we will also check for that.

Special anniversary ride

A nice part of the anniversary fair is the special ride that is being organized for the 25th edition of the Oldtimer and Classic Fair. This 90-kilometer tour will start on Sunday, October 10 at 10.30:10 AM. We can already inform you that for € 25 per person you will receive an entrance ticket, coffee, a biscuit and lunch. Opening hours, modest entrance fee

Finally, it is still good to mention the opening times. On Friday, October 8, the fair is open from 17.00 p.m. to 21.00 p.m. Doors will open at 9 a.m. on Saturday October 10 and Sunday October 10.00. The fair can be visited until 18.00 p.m. on both days. You park for free, and for €9 per person (no entrance fee for children up to 13 years old) you are inside, and you will witness an excellently organized and pleasant event.
