Incomprehensible. This black Lotus Omega has been on sale at Middelweerd in Harmelen since time immemorial. Not even one and a half tons on the clock and able to degrade most of the Dutch fleet to a moped scooter.
Why has this car not been traded yet? Where a Mercedes 500 E or a BMW M5 hardly gets the time to cool down when it ends up in a company stock, this Lotus Omega has become Harmelen's wallflower. Could it be the solid but responsible asking price? Or would it be because Middelweerd has no employees available who can take decent photos of cars? Because the first impression can be called lousy. The record of this car is not: what about a big three hundred and seventy HP under the hood? The manual six-speed gearbox from the Corvette ZR-1? From 0 to a hundred in 5,2 seconds and a top of more than 285 km / h? Plenty of arguments, you would say. And nowadays, such a Lotus Omega is more exclusive than the counterparts of the major German brands. Without giving the impression that the undersigned has shares in Autobedrijf Middelweerd ...: who finally gets this fast family car out of the mothballs?
