With all kinds of brands you can sign up for a winter ice driving experience. But Jaguar and Land Rover are the first brands to now offer this experience with classics.

Audi, BMW, Tesla, Porsche and Subaru are just some of the brands you can go to if you can drive ice on snow and frozen lakes. With all those brands, however, you drive the latest models. Also with the Ice Drive Academy from Jaguar Land Rover you can drive with new models such as the Jaguar F-Type and F-Pace or the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport. What makes the winter program of the British unique is that you can also drive with classic cars.

Classic models

The Ice Drive Academy, which is opened at the Jaguar Land Rover test facility in Arjeplog in Sweden, on the border of the polar circle, also has access to various models from the rich past of the brands. A special route has been set out to ride with classic models such as the Jaguar MkII, Mk VII and XK150 and the Land Rover Series I, Series II and Series III. According to the British, that is very instructive because you notice what modern brakes, power steering and traction control do for you in winter conditions.

Deep pockets

The Jaguar Land Rover Ice Drive Academy has various programs, with three to four nights. As a classic enthusiast you can do the programs Ice drive en Ice Drive + however, ignore it, because the program you should have is called Ice Drive Classic.
That program has three nights, which means that there is two days to drive. Mainly with classics, although the Jaguar F-Pace and F-Type also get their turn. You will also see the test facility where Jaguar and Land Rover test their latest models. Sounds good doesn't it? However, there is also a disadvantage: Santa Claus must have deep pockets, because the program costs 3.000 euros.
