Purchasing classics there

An episode of 67 year is gradually being closed. The very last Land Rover Defenders are rolling this year. According to Bloomberg, the order books for the high-profile terrain icon have been definitively closed.

The production end of the Defender becomes tangible. In its long existence, the Land Rover - which got its current name from the makers in 1991 - was built just over 2 million times. The anniversary copy recently ran from the band in the English Solihull, the delivery room of the last Defenders.

Narrator
The Englishman survived all storms, flaws and fads and gradually changed from working horse to luxury horse during his career. This Land Rover experienced its heyday in 1971. In that year it was built 50.000 times. 14.000 units were sold in the past year.

Too high investments
Due to intensified safety requirements and increasingly strict environmental rules, it was decided to take the Defender out of production. With continuation of production, the manufacturer should have made high investments to adapt the 67-year-old grand old to the demands of the times. People no longer wanted to make that effort, so that the end of the sympathetic off-road vehicle that was debuted in 2013 at the AutoRAI in Amsterdam was announced in 1948.

Numerous activities in the last year
In the current last production year, numerous activities are linked to the Defender. The farewell year was ushered in with a large beach drawing in honor of the fact that the first sketches were also drawn in the sand. The manufacturer also launched three final editions and the original production line in Solihull was “reopened” in the prelude to the end of what seemed almost infinite: the lifespan of the Land Rover Defender.
