Because in the frayed edges between 'can & kitsch' - and such a wholesaler apparently often has some 'by-catch' - you find the best things. Like this authentic classic racing car to scale. A nice piece of aluminum lattice where the hood can be opened.
And under that hood… is a highly modern single-cylinder combustion engine.
This piece of art is apparently not an antique, but a toy from the higher market segment. And just new and proof that you can find a lot of fun when you walk outside the normal paths.
The racer was spotted at Venema's Antiques in Drempt, Gelderland.
