The event is of course already in the agenda of many classic enthusiasts: the Techno Classica 2023 in Essen. From 12 to 16 April, the gates of Messe Essen will be open for the 33rd edition of the major German classic fair. This version promises a lot, and is also dedicated to a large number of anniversaries of illustrious classic models and brands.
To get straight to the point: the organization is reflecting on anniversaries of Citroën (75 years 2CV), Mercedes-Benz (60 years 230 SL Pagode and 600), Chevrolet (70 years Corvette), BMW (50 years 2002 Turbo) and Volkswagen (50 years Passat). The 75th anniversary of MG and the XNUMXth anniversary of Porsche are also themes in Essen. And to top it all off, SIHA has organized a special exhibition in the context of Lamborghini's sixtieth anniversary.
More than 2700 classics
Naturally, the program and the range of exhibitions consist of much more than the jubilee festivities. Because this year too, the number of exhibitors is huge. No less than 1250 participants from more than thirty countries provide an offer that no one can ignore. Dealers, clubs and manufacturers bring together more than 2700 classics in the north of the Ruhr area. And anyone who has visited Essen more often knows: this year the composition will again be overwhelming.

Naturally, Autostadt (VW, Seat, SKODA, VW Commercial Vehicles and VW Classic Parts) and Mercedes-Benz Classic will be present. The Italians from Ferrari also provide a nice stand. Fans of Ford and Opel can also count on a fine range of their favorite brands. Furthermore, a total of more than 200 clubs are guests, which put historical models of many brands in the spotlight. Fans of Ford, Opel, BMW and Fiat, for example, will get their money's worth. And the organization also promises an impressive set up of the Citroën-street.

As always, the organization also makes room for classic related themes. Parts, insurance, automobilia, clothing, scale models, art, literature and many other industry related items are not to be missed in Essen. Furthermore, the fair managers are organizing a Competition, where The Best of Show will be chosen by an experienced and expert jury. Finally, it is worth noting that the organizers will also make their contributions to some charities.
