Protective clothing motorcycle
That has been mainly rain gear lately ...
But protective clothing is also sensible at summer temperatures. Certainly for drivers of classic motorcycles.
The current trend among motorcyclists to remain fully in 30% proof protective clothing including fluorescent jacket even at temperatures above 100 degrees is too sad for words. We once had to do first aid on such a double-secured stumper because it was completely overheated and dehydrated. It was his wife, incidentally, who only let him ride that perilous motorcycle if he had been transformed into a crash test dummy.
Safety: But wearing a pair of high-heeled shoes, jeans, gloves, sunglasses and a helmet is quite useful as protective clothing.
Just because you can't get a wasp in your trouser leg or eye like that. And those gloves? If you fall, you tend to break the fall with your hands. And that is not a good idea for soil testing.
Asphaltxcema is an annoying condition.
But it can also be extremely surprising how the skin sheets can come from your shoulders and arms after a day of steering in the sun. A T-shirt with long sleeves is then quite a handy option. A scarf around you, by the way.
All in all, you can still enjoy all the freedom that motorcycling is offering you with minimal measures. But anyway, you always remain responsible for your choice of clothing on the motorcycle. Whatever you put on.
