On a sun-drenched day in the Frisian village of Akkerwoude, both 'bicycles' were shining in the driveway. We as AMK readers think it is normal and understandable that we want to revive history. The DKW of 1939 and the NSU of 1953 were made for transport, the current owner believes they now have a function to please. The restoration on both engines was completed more than 30 years ago, and the current owner took over the engines because the original owner had health problems. The photo makes clear that a lot of energy, time and love have been invested. Also in Akkerwoude many passers-by came to see, some with dreamy eyes and who forgot the time by talking with the owner about this beautiful property. This is once again proven: Owning a classic is a source of pleasure, both the DKW and the NSU ... and also a small sensation for viewers to find this on a residential estate. DdJ
I wonder what such a thing is worth in money
