We received a photo from a reader. That reader wondered what kind of car was on the old black-and-white photo from which he enclosed a copy. To find out such a thing, there is a handy help: Google Image Search. You drag the photo that you have. And then Google searches for pictures that look as much as possible.

You may have been surprised by the professional cleaning machines in the featured image. Yet that was where Google Image Search arrived.

After we had addressed the search engine in a friendly manner, he was allowed to resit the exam. The photo sent - we do not know who the photographer is or was, but he or his relatives may report - was not a brush machine but indeed a Porsche. The possibly related search query was " N ル シ ェ 911 プ ロ ト タ イ プ . We hadn't come up with that idea. It was about a Porsche 901 prototype, the 'Fledermaus'.

And the Austrian scale model supplier Modelltoys even has a model of it. This way you see how you can achieve surprising results with a little searching.
