At the gas station I stood next to ... a Tesla. The man who walked from the tank shop looked at the tow duck in front of the trailer with an equally resting two-wheeled classic on it. He said: “I also ride a motorbike. An electric motorcycle. An Energica Eva. From 2018. But this is an oldie, isn't it? 50 + does not seem old to me.
I reported that he had seen that well
The speaker had meanwhile raised a serious eyebrow. “But that car is badly neglected! Can something like that still appear on the road? ”Then you kindly explain to someone that appearance is not very important. That honest authenticity is unsurpassed. That your compassion can appreciate more than showroomshine. That without all the cosmetic procedures Patricia Paaij would probably have been a very pretty older lady. The man did not know who Patricia Paaij is. He could have been too young for it. Moreover, an honest old free-range duck is much less susceptible to theft than a duck that appears to have just hatched. Because such a fresh duck? They count for 20 mille for that. "
The Tesla driver almost fell back: "So you actually drive what other people don't want ?!" And do you know how polluting old cars are ?! I asked him if his partner was a virgin at their marriage. Because otherwise we could give each other a hand. He said, "Well!" Turned around, got into his Tesla, and buzzed away.
Teslas are carelessly made status symbols
By the way, Tesla makes overpriced, unreliable, carelessly finished cars and sells them with an embarrassing lack of aftercare. It is not and will not be electric drive. Too impractical and harmful to the environment. But I think the electric Johammer motorcycle is fantastic!
I only drive classic
That is not only because a freelancer never has money for such a nonsensical fashion object as a Tesla or Engergica Eva. Just as little as I want to ride in a classic that - best with craftsmanship, respect for it - is so sprayed / painted for serious money that the instant patina drips off. With that money I could take early retirement. Then I had more time to tinker. A top restored or completely authentic classic? I can happily dream away with that. Only if it goes at the expense of driving? Then such a thing is suddenly a museum piece that you can respect or an emotionless investment object.
What gives me the edge of life as a classic driver?
You meet - unexpectedly - the most friendly, uninhibited people. People who live from their heart instead of from their investment portfolio. Sometimes you meet someone who looks at the world from a completely different perspective. Also educational. But maybe that Teslaman just had a bad day. And he just wanted to feel better than anyone else. And even so, as a classic driver you can make someone happy.
I wonder if the donkeys of the government ever read this kind of messages and reactions from fellow countrymen. Or do they say they know nothing and are better than the rest!
As long as children in the Congo Cobalt, standing up to their knees in the mess, have to pull out of the mines, the electric car remains an anti-social product, used to hypocritically wipe our path clean with us.
Amen!
True, making a car is also environmentally harmful. But to say that a car is only used for three years driving is of course incorrect.
They are resold and driven on. In any case, an EV is much more environmentally friendly than an iCE. The longer you drive the ICE, the more environmentally harmful. The longer you drive an EV, the more environmentally friendly!
The latter is not entirely true. At most, an EV is less harmful to the environment than an ICE when it comes to vehicle use. However, none of the EVs that I know breaks CO2.
Electric drive “… too environmentally harmful” ??? I would like clarity about that.
I drive an electric car, powered by electricity that is generated via my own solar panels. What is environmentally harmful about that?
How would all this stuff be produced?
Well, such people are best ignored. They have nothing intrinsically to do with mechanical concepts, let alone a feeling for and knowledge of them. At the end of the XNUMXs, a little T Ford will have been looked down upon. Today, such a thing releases something endearing, even to the uninitiated. For example, it will probably also work for more recent internal burners as soon as there are only new E-mobiles available (and without the disadvantages of a Tesla).
It is also a pity that it must be explained time and again that continuing to drive an old mormel is far less burdensome from an environmental point of view than buying the newest of the newest every three years.
Making a vehicle costs a lot more energy than the thing it will use during its lifetime, even if it is 100 years.

I think you can't read this money for people who buy a new car every three years that is bad for the environment
