Marcel Seidel Auktionen's car auctions, which are held several times a year in the Automuseum Dr. Carl Benz at 26 Ilvesheimer Straße in Ladenburg, Germany, are always full of interesting lots. That is no different at the autumn auction, which will take place this weekend on 5 and 6 November.
In total there are 2742 lots in the auction catalog summarized on 531 pages. Up for auction is a one-off selection of memorabilia from motorsport history and car and motorcycle history. An enormous number of parts, engines and accessories, but also complete classics complete the range.
Memorabilia and parts from motorsport
Among the ultimate additions to your collection, garage or man cave are Phil Hill's original 1966/1967 racing overalls. At that time, Hill and Joakim Bonnier won the 1000 km race at the Nürburgring with a Chaparral 2D. And what about the large selection of trophies from two-time Formula 1 champion Alberto Ascari? Or an original chassis of a Porsche 911 2.7 Carrera RS with numerous parts?
Also very special is the monoposto racer built in the garage of Carlos Zatuszek in Argentina with Mercedes parts, numerous rare parts for Porsche prototypes, including an engine housing from a Porsche 907 with associated pistons and cylinder. A Porsche Carrera RSR engine… and much more.
Special advertising and book material
A large collection of rare racing programmes, advertising material and automobilia accessories is also up for auction, as well as very rare photos and negatives. There will also be a lot of interest in a design by Enzo Ferrari for his book 'Le Mie Gioie Terribili' with numerous handwritten corrections by himself.
Particularly interesting is the BMW E21 racing car from the Group 2 racing class from 1979. A garage find that achieved class wins at the Nürburgring in 1981, among other things. Lot number 1844 contains complete blueprints and drawings of the famous Lancia D50, more than 1750 construction drawings used for the construction of this racer were needed.
