Purchasing classics there

A sporty coupé does not necessarily have to come from Europe. For example, there are many enthusiasts of Japanese-made sports cars. Cars with a rich history like the Nissan 300 ZX in this story.

The interest in Nissan at Branko is not for nothing. It all started when he was 15, driving a Nissan Bluebird at home. From the age of 18 Branko did an internship at Nissan Dealer ABD and later after his studies he worked for Nissan for more than 10 years. In 2002 he was trained by Nissan Nederland as a 350Z specialist. It is quite understandable that the heart beats faster with his most recent purchase, this Nissan 300 ZX.

Coincidence?

Through still warm contacts with former Nissan colleagues, Branko was told that the first 350Z, the car with the same license plate with which he was trained in vehicle control at the Lelystad circuit in 2002, had been traded in. It is the demo car he drove 21 years ago. Yet it is not the car that was purchased. That became the 300 Nissan 1985ZX traded in on the 350Z. "Amazing, right; that the previous owner of my 300ZX is driving the car I drove in 2002?” according to Branco.

Nissan Z history

Branko: “The Datsun/Nissan Z Series is legendary. It all started with the 240Z in 1969, followed by the 260Z in 1974. Cars that were very popular especially in America and ensured that brands such as Triumph and MG would never again play a significant role in America. Later the model was equipped with a 2,8 liter engine (280Z).

In 1979 the car became bigger and more luxurious, more like a GT; the 280ZX was a fact.

The 280ZX, now also available with a turbo, was replaced in 1984 by the 300ZX with Japan's first V6 engine. 170 HP, 225 km/h for the atmospheric version and 225 HP, 250 km/h for the turbo.

In the meantime, the Z series had become the best-selling sports car in the world!

The 300ZX from this story was succeeded in 1990 by the 300ZX Twin Turbo with, among other things, four-wheel steering. In 2002, the 350Z was introduced, followed by the 370Z. The latest edition is the Nissan 400Z, where the looks are, more than ever, inspired by the first 240Z of 1969. Unfortunately, this car is not available in Europe.

Beautiful property

Branko: “This Nissan 300 ZX is a time machine for me. He has a timeless charm and takes me back to times gone by.” The appraisal report confirms that the car is in excellent condition. Sometimes it's a matter of meeting the right people at decisive moments. The push was given by the reunion with the 350Z, his old demo car and unexpectedly led to the purchase of this beautiful 300ZX.
