Purchasing classics there

The fact that Joost calls himself Peugeoost is a sign of refined passion and warm feelings for Peugeot.

Peugeot has a rich and promising history. For Joost, the creations of the French lion also have a special place, they form the common thread in his life. This story deserves to be told.

Museum pieces

The iconic Peugeot 505 GTI comes from the Visscher Classics museum in Buren (Gelderland). A car with a unique character that exudes authority (without being authoritarian). This special Peugeot was part of the collection, and in exchange Joost gave his two special Peugeots of the type 202. These museum pieces can now be admired in Buren.

Remarkable creations

We are talking about the Peugeot 202 Pick Up from 1949 and the Peugeot 202 Berline from 1948, both carefully restored by Joost. He experienced 202 years of restoration pleasure for the Peugeot 6 Pickup, and 202 years for the Peugeot 2 Berline. Obviously there must be a special sentiment for vintage cars; a restoration costs a lot of money, time and effort. Starting for the first time brings a lot of emotion. Joost knows better than anyone how to treat vintage cars: cherish them and above all enjoy them!

Peugeot GTI 505

Joost: “This Peugeot 505 GTI makes me happy. Many years ago I drove a 505 GTI automatic from 1987 (325.615 km in 11 years) and then a 8 V505 automatic for 6 years; fantastic cars that I never had any problems with. From 2012 onwards my daily driver became a 205 and the V6 became a collector's item in the garage. I only paid road tax and insurance premium for it. The sale was therefore both necessary and sensible. This V6 now shows off in a private collection. But compared to the great 205, driving the 505 is pure luxury that I thoroughly enjoy.”

Above average interest

Joost has an above-average interest in vintage cars, but especially in Peugeot. He previously restored a Peugeot 404 Cabriolet and a D4b bus, which he converted into a simple camper without damaging the original bus. How do you get such a hobby? According to Joost it is in the genes. It will therefore not surprise you that his daily car is still a Peugeot: a beautiful 205 XS in Roland Garros version with original glass sliding roof from 1992 and now has 280.000 km on the odometer. Congratulations to Peugeoost for restoring the former glory of its vintage cars.
